What is Metis and why was it built?
We are two software engineers and value investors from Germany. We were tired of managing our portfolios across multiple brokerages and relying on messy Excel sheets just to run a simple DCF model. We wanted a calm, private, EU-hosted tool that didn't treat investing like a casino. Since we couldn't find one, we spent the last few months building it ourselves. Metis is currently a free, early-access project. We use it to manage our own money, and we'd love for you to try it and tell us how to improve it.

Do I need to connect my brokerage account?
No. Metis is strictly 'Read-Only' by design for your security. You manually log your transactions, which means you never hand over your banking credentials to a third-party API. Your data stays completely in your control.

What data sources does Metis use?
We utilize and cross validate multiple data sources to deliver the most accurate financial data for your decision-making process.

Is my data safe?
Yes. Metis is hosted entirely in the EU on European infrastructure, and we are fully GDPR-compliant. We never sell your data. Your portfolio information is yours alone.

Can I use Metis to research stocks I don't own yet?
Yes. Metis includes a watchlist where you can track any stock, compare peer ratios like earnings yield and FCF yield, and run DCF valuations with customizable scenarios to estimate intrinsic value before you invest.
